Ek gee moed op en weet nie meer watter kan toe nie en het HULP nodig! My seuntjie is in Sep 2011 gebore met clubfeet, my medies weier om vir enige iets te betaal. Ons moes self die dr's en die spesiale skoene betaal wat hy moet dra! Ek het navrae gedoen en almal se vir my hy is met dit gebore en hulle moet alles dek! wat staan my te doen! Hy moet elke jaar n nuwe paar skoene kry en elke keer kos dit R2000 dan praat ek nie eers van die dr;s rekening van oor die R10 000 nie!

My dogter is deur Dr Redelinghuys 'n mond ,kaak en gesig spesialis gekonsulteer.Daar is bevind dat haar verstand tande dringend verwyder moes word a.g.v. moontlike skade aan 'n senuwees.Verder is 'n twede molaar (tand) agter die bestaande verstand tand ontdek wat ook aan die ontwikkel is .Dit is gevaarlik en kan sinus skade berokken.Dis 'n rare verskynsel en veroorsaak reeds sinus en hoofpyn probleme. Ek het 'n hospitaal plan met geen dag-tot-dag voordele nie en dit is reg so ek betaal dit...

I get a letter from discovery telling me that my husbands chronic meds are no longer on their list of meds-he now has to pay in over R300 a month or get cheaper meds-I tell them there is no generic for what he takes but they will not listen. They gave him the correct meds for 3 years-now they want to force him to get sick. I will be reporting them to the medical ombudsman.

Christmas Eve was sent sms informing me that Medshield had doubled my premium. Was old they do not go on means testing if you cannot afford it you must cancel. After they took over Oxygen Essential, Medshield stopped Gynaecology, Mamagrams,Dental,Optisions etc. Only exist on my Savings...which I used up on consultation with my Doctor. What happened to `Customer Service` absolutely DISGUSTING why pay for something your not getting..Enough is Enough.

My moeder Mev JM Odendaal se heup moes ook vervang word en die die mediesefonds het ook geweier om die operasie te betaal want haar BMI telling was 34.8 dit beteken sy was ook gewig. Sy is 84 jaar oud en behoort al 47 jaar aan mediesefonds die een voor Sizwe was Medical Aid Plan en toe neem Sizwe hulle oor. Good day Please assist as I am now at the breaking point with the incompatancy of the helpdesk of Medshield. It started the beginning of November 2011 when I called them to get pre-authorisation for my mother for a hip replacement. The requested the ICD code as well as all the other codes. When I enquired about rate for physio I am told R200 per session. I went only for as many times my medical aid funds would allow. Now suddenly I owe Omnicare as the medical aid is exhausted, when I query this with them now they tell me it's the cash rate, whereas they knew at the time I'll be using my medical aid. This is real miscommunication from their reception or otherwise a way of making extra money. Wonder how many people gets caught out like this. Definately no way I will be...
