SAA Voyager. I Subscribe as a SAA Voyager member and I applied for a Nedbank Voyager credit card. Especially with their specific marketing of the companion ticket option.
Complimentary SAA Companion Ticket
On achieving the annual eligible* spend thresholds, SAA Premium and Gold Credit Card Accountholders qualify for one complimentary domestic or international Companion Ticket per calendar year
(1 January to 31 December)
You qualify for a companion ticket( buy one and get one free) if you spend more than a certain amount of money. They keep on sending you letters to tell you how far are you from qualifying for this ticket. Just spend more money. When I qualified for the ticket I phone SAA Voyager and told them I qualify. The lady told me I have to buy my normal SAA ticket first at normal prize and then have to return with that ticket. I bought my ticket from SAA at a cost of +/- R2300 and return to Voyager. only to hear that I bought the wrong class ticket. I went back to SAA to change my ticket to the specific class with the news that the specific class tcket will cost me R4200 PLUS I have to pay the airport taxes of the companion ticket of +/- R1000. THAT ADDs UP TO R5000. MORE THAN DOUBLE WHAT I WILL PAY FOR 2 NORMAL TICKETS. THIS IS ABSOLUTE A JOKE!!!
At the same time I could bought a ticket from another company, same time, same place for half the price.
After that I couldnt cancel the ticket without losing all my money or if I want to chanre the flight it will cost me more than R300. BAD BAD BAD service.
